Founder
Claire Hester
Hester Dressage Stud was founded by Claire Hester, a lifelong horsewoman with a deep love of the warmblood and a quiet obsession with breeding the right horse — not the most fashionable horse. From a handful of carefully chosen mares, Claire produces a small number of foals each year, raising every one of them by hand on the rolling pastures of Ledbury.
The yard is unhurried, intentional, and entirely hands-on. Every horse is known, every line considered. Buyers travel from across the UK and Europe — drawn by word of mouth and the quality that follows it.
